“A Date with Judy” was Elizabeth Taylor’s first “adult” movie. It was filmed a year before her last adolescent movie (Little Women). This was one of those great MGM movies of late forties with lots of stars such as Robert Stack and Deanna Durbin along with others. This was the movie that got Elizabeth recognized. Joan Collins said the other night that when this movie came out every girl she knew wanted to look like Elizabeth Taylor and every boy wanted to be with her.

Elizabeth Taylor, a beauty and a giant of the silver screen. I love every movie that she made. Yes, even Cleopatra, of which I never been able to sit through entire movie. My three favorite Liz Taylor movies are Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? , Cat on a Hot Tin Roof and this one from her early days, Little Woman where she played Amy.
